Dear Decision Sciences Collaborative,
Spring is here and with it comes the end of another fun and productive academic year. But before we wrap up, there is one last exciting event on the horizon. On April 28-29 we have our Decisions, Cognition, and the Climate Crisis mini-conference here at OSU, including a separate Happy Climate event on the afternoon of the 29th. See below for more details. Also, please help me welcome Prof. Kentaro Fujita (Psychology), who will be taking over as the new DSC Director. I know that he will do a great job and take the DSC in exciting new directions! Decisions, Cognition, and the Climate Crisis Please join us Friday & Saturday April 28-29, for a two-day mini-conference on how the decision- and cognitive sciences can help us tackle the climate crisis. We have 10 great speakers lined up, as well as several roundtable discussions. Registration is free! Details and the registration link can be found here. On April 29, 3-4pm, attend the Happy Climate Workshop. This interactive workshop is led by Dr. Jiaying Zhao of the University of British Columbia and explores behavioral changes that can reduce your carbon footprint while also increasing your happiness. Drawing on key lessons from behavioral science, you can generate thoughtful approaches to achieve a healthier world. All guests/ages are welcome! These events are hosted by the Center for Cognitive and Brain Sciences and the Decision Sciences Collaborative, and co-sponsored by the Ohio State Energy Partners. Tell us about your decision sciences research! Please email us with your latest and greatest publications or news stories related to decision science. We would love to share these stories with the whole DSC community. |
Best Regards,
Ian Krajbich, DSC Director
