Dear Decision Sciences Collaborative,
Thanks to everyone who submitted grant applications to us in October. We received many great applications from all around campus. We are evaluating those applications now and should have the results in a week or so. This month we have our first sponsored speaker, Dr. Alessandro Acquisti, Thursday November 21 from 4 - 5:30pm in Pomerene Hall's Ideation Lab. In the big data economy, consumer data often unlocks free or discounted services. But, at what cost? Join us for this TED style session to explore consumer awareness of such trade-offs against the backdrop of who benefits from our current data economy. Please find more information and register here and e-mail me now (krajbich.1@osu.edu) if you would like to meet with Dr. Acquisti that morning or over lunch. Dr. Acquisti’s visit is organized by the Program on Data and Governance at Moritz and co-sponsored by the Department of Economics and the DSC.
