This Friday, there is an exciting talk by Sudeep Bhatia (University of Pennsylvania) in the Department of Psychology on “Knowledge Representation in Decision Making”. See details below. In March, we have the next deadline for small grants. See details below. Then, in April, we have a couple of exciting DSC events: April 9-10, we have three brilliant decision scientists visiting us: Jerome Busemeyer (Indiana University), Adele Diederich (Jacobs University), and John Clithero (University of Oregon). More details to come. The following Friday, April 17, we have our DSC Spring Forum featuring George Loewenstein (Carnegie Mellon) as our keynote speaker. See details below. DSC Spring Forum Please mark your calendars for April 17 for our spring research forum, which will feature George Loewenstein (Carnegie Mellon) as our keynote speaker. We are tentatively scheduled for 11:00am to 3:00pm in Psychology 035. We will be soliciting abstract submissions soon, so please start thinking about what research you would like to share with the community. Pilot Grants to Launch Ideas and Careers March 15, 2020 is our next deadline for small grants for faculty, postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and undergraduates. We will be giving extra consideration to grant proposals that feature research teams from multiple departments. Speaker of Interest This Friday, February 7 at 2:30pm, Sudeep Bhatia (University of Pennsylvania) will be giving a seminar in the Psychology Department on “Knowledge Representation in Decision Making”. The talk will take place in Psychology 35. Sudeep Bhatia is a rising star in judgment and decision making, with a focus on computational modeling of cognition. |
