This year's four brief faculty talks include:
- Jason Coronel (Communications) "Using eye movements to assess people's memories of political events"
- Kentaro Fujita (Psychology) “Why do people struggle with self-control?”
- Stephanie Moulton (Public Affairs) “Reducing mortgage default through reminders”
- Scott Schwenter (Linguistics) “Constraints on linguistic decisions”
Next, these DSC grantees (winners of the top-rated abstracts) will each give a 15-minute talk about their funded research.
- Kirby Nielsen (Economics) “Preferences for the Resolution of Uncertainty and the Timing of Information”
- Daniel Zane (Marketing) “The Meaning of Distraction: How Metacognitive Inferences from Distraction Affect Brand Attitudes”
After the talks, we will have a poster session with other DSC grantees and decision scientists in the lower lobby of the Psychology Building. Appetizers and drinks will be served.
