The lab's current work in the decision-making domain focuses on the role of the immune system, particularly inflammation, upon decision making in the social and health areas. One of those signaling pathways is via the prostaglandin system. Therefore, we are studying the psychological effects of peripheral inflammation as well as drugs that alter brain levels of prostaglandins, such as acetaminophen and ibuprofen.
