Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

I am a social/consumer psychologist interested in the roles of individual and situational influences on attitudes and decision making, particularly the roles of attitude strength in repeated decision contexts.  Applied areas of interest are consumer decisions regarding environmental and sustainability issues.  Current particular interests are related to energy (e.g, housing construction/remodeling/personal transportation) and health (exercise, food choices).   I am also interested in the current and future roles of "persuasive technology,"  (e.g, use of devices and programs to guide choices) in a variety of areas.
