My research addresses consumer decision-making as it relates to tobacco and other harmful products, and it explores related questions of legal and regulatory policy. In particular, I am interested in how various types of marketing and advertising impact consumer choices, as well as the effectiveness of regulatory measures intended to inform consumer decision-making. I am also interested in how emerging scientific evidence about the process of decision-making challenges established legal doctrines relating to public health.
