Dear Decision Sciences Collaborative,
I hope the semester has gotten off to a good start for everyone! Thanks to all of the graduate students and post-docs (as well as faculty) who attended our first ever student networking event on Friday, Sept 8. It was great to see students from across campus get a chance to meet and exchange ideas. We plan to do this again in the future, so please keep tuned! We would like to remind everyone that we will be holding our annual fall grant competition, with a deadline of October 16, 2023. Please see the DSC website for more information about applying: https://decisionsciences.osu.edu/funding-opportunities/small-research-grants-faculty-postdocs-and-graduate-students. Faculty, post-docs, graduate students, and undergraduates are all encouraged to apply! We look forward to seeing your new research ideas! The Foods for Health (FFH) Research Initiative will be hosting their Summit on Sensory Nutrition and Ingestive Behaviors on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, in 320 Pomerene Hall. For more information, please visit their website: https://foodsforhealth.osu.edu/event/2023/10/ffh-ib-sn. To register, please go to https://go.osu.edu/ingestivebehavior. Graduate students are welcome to attend and may present research posters at the event. Katherine Coffman, Piramal Associate Professor of Business Administration at Harvard University, will be presenting a talk to the Department of Economics on October 27, 2023. Dr. Coffman is an experimental economist who studies gender. Save the date! More details will be provided as they become available. As always, if you know someone who may not be a member of DSC but who conducts research in decision-making (broadly construed), please feel free to forward this newsletter to them and encourage them to join! We are always looking to expand our membership. |
Best Regards,
Ken Fujita, DSC Director
