Program highlights include:A series of academic presentations, featuring invited speakers not only from the Economics department but also from Consumer Science.Recent graduates, Xuechao (Jane) Qian and Hyoeun Park, who will be sharing their recent job market experiences. The session will be moderated by Minhee Lee (expected graduate, 2025).A special session led by PhD students in their 3rd year and above in economics will offer helpful advice on PhD life and preparing for the qualifier exam, with particular encouragement for 1st year econ students to join. However, students from any department are more than welcome to join as well to obtain valuable insights on early PhD life and next steps in conducting research.A handheld lunch will be provided, along with coffee, tea, and light snacks throughout the event.
