As a neuropsychologist, I assess patients for cognitive and psychiatric changes due to illness or brain injury. I believe that an attentive and thorough assessment leads to proper identification of cognitive strengths and weaknesses, which I use to develop individualized treatment plans. Regardless of diagnosis, I think it’s important to consider what patients are capable of doing and what strategies can be employed to help them feel they are still contributing to their environment and reaching their goals.

I truly enjoy getting to know my patients and creating strong patient-physician relationships. I strive to view my patients through a biopsychosocial lens, recognizing biological factors as well as psychological – mood, personality and behavior – and social factors – cultural, familial and socioeconomic identities – to create a more holistic and well-rounded plan of care.

My favorite part about working at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is the collegial and cohesive atmosphere that is fostered by our dedicated team at the Neuropsychology Clinic, as well as our shared goal of providing a comprehensive approach to patient care. We actively collaborate with other departments in research activities, which helps us to better meet the needs of our diverse patient population and improve our patients’ quality of life.

In my free time, I like to enjoy a good cappuccino and spend quality time with family and friends.
