Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Christa studies the rhetoric and writing that mediates deliberative decision-making in scientific and medical contexts. Her book project attends to how medical decisions hinge on the backstage labor, or "shadow work" (Lampland & Star) involved in constructing, assessing, and synthesizing evidence. In particular, Christa is interested in how matter matters (Barad) when medical professionals, patients, and policy-makers attempt to create order from biophysiological chaos.
